Open Call 2026 · Closes 28 August

Disagree differently.

Polarity is an open creative programme offering up to €10,000 in funding, editorial support, training, and offline events for creators ready to explore how we disagree online – and how we might do it differently.

We’re looking for content creators who want to start conversations that actually go somewhere.

/ The problem

Something’s broken about how we talk to each other online.

Most people aren’t as extreme as the loudest voices suggest online. Polarity is for the people who’ve noticed that, and want to do something about it. Not by avoiding conflict, but by moving beyond hate and black-and-white thinking.

/ Paid commissions

Get up to €10,000.

A commission of up to €10,000, depending on your level of commitment. Working with our team, you’ll shape what that looks like in a way that’s realistic for you – while creating space for experimentation.

Funding + editorial support to develop and produce original content.

/ Support

Training and development.

We’re designing this programme together with our creators. Based on what you tell us, training might include:

  • Storytelling and format development

  • Making complex ideas engaging and accessible

  • Audience psychology and platform dynamics

  • Access to documentary-makers, videographers and journalists

  • Handling negative comments and online attacks

  • Financial planning and budgeting

  • Contract negotiation and brand partnerships

  • Developing your own ethical guidelines as a creator

/ In person

Offline connection and collaboration.

One of the most effective ways to bridge divides is to bring people together face to face. Workshops bring the creator network together in person, starting in Brussels in September. Travel and accommodation covered. You create the content – we provide the access.

/ Who we’re looking for

Something feels broken, and you want to fix it.

You don’t need to know about politics, psychology or philosophy. And we don’t care if you make political content. We’re just as interested in people who don’t. You do need to feel like something’s gone wrong with how we talk to each other online. Maybe you want to help make social media feel social again, or help your audience understand why we react the way we do.

You need to be reasonably fluent in English, although your content can be in any language. It helps if your followers are predominantly under 29.

/ What you’ll create

Thought-provoking, but accessible.

Ideas designed for your platform and audience that spark reflection, not just reaction. You’ll know it’s working if your commenters say you helped them understand something, see something differently, or feel seen themselves.

/ How to apply

We've kept it simple

We're not looking for finished proposals or polished pitches, but potential, perspective, and intent. If you're unsure whether your idea or audience fits, apply anyway.

  1. Send us a short idea or concept (this can be rough)

  2. Show us examples of your work (any format, any platform)

  3. Tell us why this topic matters to you (just a few words)

  4. Submit all of this before the deadline in one email
