What is Polarity?

An experiment, not an answer… yet.

Polarity is a new project exploring how we disagree online – and how we might do it differently. It's for creators and audiences tired of the same conversations, who want to start different ones. Not by avoiding conflict, but by moving past hate and black-and-white thinking.

How do we disagree online, and how might we do it differently?

The algorithm doesn't reward being right. It rewards outrage. That's a business model, not a conspiracy. But disagreement doesn't have to work that way. People can hold contradictory views, recognise that multiple things can be true at once, and still move forward together.
